Project Background

In Indian philosophy, our current era is called Kali Yuga the "Iron Age of Darkness." In these times, who - or what - are humans trying to kill? The Deal is something I wrote and directed to explore this question. I parallel this to a film version of haiku. The challenge is to deliver a poetically succinct story in the confines of a few minutes and no more. Following the debut screening at an event for the Organization of Black Screenwriters in Los Angeles, some people said their take away was immediate. For others, a second viewing revealed a more subtle meaning. What do you think?
